Furla is an Italian company that has been operating in the field of leather goods and accessories since 1927, when Aldo and Margherita Furlanetto opened the company in Bologna to initially deal with the distribution of women's accessories, and then in 1955 opened the first single-brand store in via Ugo Bassi. The company, which in the meantime has become a joint-stock company, specializes in accessories dedicated to the female sphere, ranging from bags, to belts, to key rings and jewelry. Over the years, Furla has also turned to the male dimension, producing some lines of bags and accessories for men. In the 1980s, it began to expand its range of action, opening the first single-brand stores in France and the United States, until arriving in Japan in 1990. In 2013, the flagship store was opened in Milan in the Duomo and in 2015 Palazzo Furla was inaugurated in the heart of the city.
